Terms.

The agreement between you and Vidya governing your use of the product.

Draft terms. This document is a working draft pending review by Vidya's legal counsel. The final, binding terms will be published before Vidya leaves private early access.

Acceptance of terms

By creating a Vidya account or using any part of the Vidya product, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product.

If you are using Vidya on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Account responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@vidya.co if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vidya. Some features may require you to be older depending on your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

Vidya is a learning product. You agree not to use it to harass other people, generate harmful or illegal content, attempt to extract our underlying models or training data, or interfere with the service for other users.

Automated scraping, reverse engineering, or any attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls is not permitted.

Intellectual property

The Vidya product, brand, and underlying software belong to Dot eVentures Pvt Ltd and its licensors. Your content, including the conversations and study materials you create with Vidya, belongs to you.

By using Vidya you grant us a limited license to process your content as needed to operate and improve the product. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.

Termination

You can close your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the product in a way that could harm Vidya, other users, or third parties.

On termination, your right to use the product ends immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

Disclaimer of warranties

Vidya is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted, error free, or that AI outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

You are responsible for verifying important information before acting on it. Vidya is a study companion, not a substitute for professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vidya and Dot eVentures Pvt Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the product.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Vidya is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Telangana, India. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Vidya will be brought exclusively in the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
