By installing or using the Vidya AI Assistant Chrome extension ("Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all terms, immediately cease using the Extension.

License Grant

Subject to compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Install and use the Extension for personal/educational purposes
  • Access AI-generated educational content
  • Utilize translation and learning assistance features

This license does not include the right to distribute, modify, or reverse engineer the Extension.

  • Respect Usage Limits: Use the service reasonably without excessive automated requests

  • Usage patterns (e.g., feature frequency)
  • Page content accessed via our analysis system
  • Voice inputs for processing (not stored)

Content Accuracy Disclaimer

AI responses may contain inaccuracies. Always verify critical information from authoritative sources.

Ownership: Users retain rights to inputted text; AI outputs are licensed for personal use only.

Prohibited Uses

  • Generating illegal or academic-dishonesty content
  • Automated commercial content production
  • High-volume scraping via the Extension
  • Creating content that violates intellectual property rights

  • Our Rights: All Extension code, UI designs, and "Vidya" branding are owned by us
  • Your Rights: You own content you input; we claim no rights to user-provided text
  • AI Outputs: Generated content may incorporate third-party models (see documentation)
  • Trademarks: "Vidya AI" and associated marks are our property

Payment & Subscriptions

  • Free Version: Basic features available without payment
  • Premium Features: Paid subscriptions auto-renew monthly/annually
  • Cancellation: May cancel anytime via Chrome Web Store or account settings
  • Refunds: Processed according to Chrome Web Store policies

Limitations & Disclaimers

Service Limitations

  • Service "AS IS": No guarantees of uptime or accuracy
  • AI Limitations: Outputs may contain biases/errors inherent in language models
  • Educational Use: Not a substitute for professional academic advice
  • Liability Cap: Our total liability limited to fees paid (if any) in last 6 months

Termination

We may terminate access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in abusive usage (e.g., spamming API)
  • Attempt reverse engineering
  • Use the service for harmful or illegal purposes

Upon termination, your right to use the Extension ceases immediately.

Modifications

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice via in-Extension notification or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

Material changes will be highlighted and may require explicit re-acceptance.

Governing Law

  • Governed by laws of India
  • Disputes resolved in courts of Hyderabad, Telangana
  • Both parties agree to attempt mediation before litigation
